Tamarview Community Centre
Tamar View Community Complex Ltd. came into being due to an announcement by the MoD to vacate and dispose of its surplus stock of Married Quarters on the Barne Barton Estate in Oct 99.
A small number of local residents grouped together with a view to put together a plan to purchase the complex and retain the facilities for the local community; the vision of this group, who went on to become the founding trustees, is to provide a quality family services for the local community whilst at the same time remaining a viable enterprise.

Welcome to Granby Island
Granby Island Community Centre was born out of the needs of a group of children, roughly 7 to 11 year olds and mainly boys, who lived in or around Granby Street in Devonport.
Now we help people to find education, to identify the skills and abilities they have, we run full time childcare, essential in this community and identified as the number 1 priority for local people, way back in the beginning. A UK Online Centre, funded from National Government monies, a drop in Information Communication Technology (ICT) suite open when people need it to be. Advice support and guidance is on hand, or on the end of a phone and most important a place where people can meet, just for the hell of it. No pressure, non-judgmental, friendly. When you visit you will find an ethos of sharing and mutual support, anyone here will offer help if you need it and be glad of your help when they need it.
